Ashwagandha Extract
Standardised Ashwagandha extract for a stronger daily dose
Last updated: May 2026
Ancient Nutra Ashwagandha Extract is the standardised-extract version of our daily Ashwagandha capsule. It delivers a higher per-capsule dose of active withanolides, the compound class most responsible for Ashwagandha's adaptogenic effects. Each capsule contains 200mg of root powder, 300mg of standardised extract, and 10mg of black pepper extract for absorption support.
Powder or extract, which is right for you
- Powder (our 60-capsule Ashwagandha): traditional Ayurvedic form, gentle, well tolerated, slower acting.
- Extract (this product): higher concentration of withanolides, faster perceived effect, suited to those who want a more potent daily dose.
What the research says
A 2024 systematic review in BJPsych Open (Cambridge Core), covering seven randomised controlled trials and 488 participants, found Ashwagandha supplementation was associated with statistically significant reductions in serum cortisol versus placebo. Standardised extracts were used in most of those trials.
How to take it
One capsule twice daily, with meals. Most users take one in the morning and one in the evening.
Who it is for: adults already familiar with Ashwagandha who want a more concentrated dose, people with higher stress loads, and active men and women using it alongside training.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from KSM-66 or Sensoril?
KSM-66 and Sensoril are branded standardised extracts. Our extract is independently standardised in Sri Lanka using the same withanolide-based methodology, at a lower price point.
Can I take this with my morning Ashwagandha capsule?
Pick one. Stacking both is unnecessary.
Is the black pepper extract safe?
Yes. The small amount of piperine improves absorption and is well tolerated.
Quality
Manufactured in Sri Lanka under BRCGS, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000. Vegetarian capsule.
