Collagen 60 Capsules
Marine collagen peptides, taken daily
Last updated: August 2026
Ancient Nutra Collagen 60 Capsules provides 100% pure hydrolysed marine collagen peptides sourced from fish. Collagen is the structural protein found in skin, tendon, cartilage and bone, and the body's own production declines gradually with age. Hydrolysed collagen is broken into short peptides that are absorbed and used as raw material for the body's own collagen synthesis.

What the research supports
- Joint comfort and function. This is currently the steadiest evidence for collagen. A 2024 meta-analysis of 25 randomised trials covering 2,856 people with osteoarthritis reported modest improvements in pain and in function, with no increase in adverse events.
- Skin hydration and elasticity. A 2023 meta-analysis of 26 randomised trials covering 1,721 participants found improvements in skin hydration and elasticity against placebo. The evidence here is genuinely mixed: a 2025 analysis that separated trials by funding source and study quality found the effect did not hold in independently funded or higher quality studies. Both findings are worth knowing before you buy.
- Glycine and proline. Collagen peptides supply these amino acids, which the body draws on when building its own collagen. Vitamin C is a required cofactor for that process, so adequate vitamin C intake matters alongside it.

Frequently asked questions
Who is this for?
Adults who want to support skin and joints with a daily collagen peptide. The body's own collagen production declines gradually with age, which is why supplementation is usually considered from the mid twenties onward.
When will I notice results?
Trials that found an effect generally ran 8 to 12 weeks, so treat that as a fair test rather than expecting a change in the first fortnight. Assess honestly at the end of that window instead of continuing out of habit.
Does collagen help hair and nails?
The evidence for hair and nail benefits is limited, and weaker than the evidence for skin or joints. Ancient Nutra does not make a hair or nail claim for this product.
Is marine collagen better than bovine collagen?
Both are Type I collagen. There is no reliable head to head human evidence showing one source outperforms the other for skin or joint outcomes, so the choice usually comes down to dietary preference and allergy status.
Is this suitable for everyone?
No. This product is fish-derived, so it is not suitable for anyone with a fish or seafood allergy, and not suitable on a vegetarian or vegan diet. Consult a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on prescription medication.
