One month of a 90-day routine with Gurmar, Ceylon Cinnamon and Venivel

Last updated: September 2026

The Sugar Balance System brings together three herbs with a long history of traditional use in Ayurvedic and Sri Lankan practice around sweet taste and sugar. It is a food supplement and a routine, not a treatment: apart from Gurmar's short-lived effect on sweet taste, these herbs' effects on blood sugar itself have not been established in clinical trials. At the dose below, one box covers about 30 days, so a full cycle takes three boxes. Use it alongside the care your doctor provides, not in place of it.

What is inside

  • Gurmar (Gymnema sylvestre), 60 capsules. Gymnemic acids from the leaf temporarily block the human sweet taste receptor, so sweet food registers as less sweet for a short while. That taste effect is demonstrated. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic practice in connection with sugar.
  • Ceylon Cinnamon, 60 capsules. True Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), naturally low in coumarin, unlike cassia. Long used as a daily spice in Sri Lankan kitchens, and included here as part of a bounded routine rather than open-ended daily use.
  • Venivel (Coscinium fenestratum), 60 capsules. The yellow-wooded vine, a traditional Sri Lankan herb with a long-standing place in local practice. There are no human clinical trials of this plant, so it is included on the strength of that tradition alone.
  • Bonus Shield Shots (3). Three turmeric and ginger shots to gently start your routine.

How to take it

One Gurmar capsule before each of your two largest meals, one to two Cinnamon capsules with your largest carbohydrate meal, and one Venivel capsule daily with food. At that dose the Gurmar bottle is the one that empties first, so a box lasts about 30 days. Run a full 90-day cycle, which is three boxes, then take a 1-week break.

Important safety note

If you take metformin, insulin or any other blood sugar medication, speak with your doctor before starting. Gurmar and Cinnamon can add to their effect and may lower blood sugar. This is a food supplement, not a substitute for prescribed treatment.
