Your privacy matters to us
This Privacy Policy explains how Ancient Nutraceuticals (Pvt) Ltd ("Ancient Nutra", "we", "us") collects, uses, protects and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from www.ancientnutra.com. It is written with the requirements of Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 (PDPA) in mind.

1 · Information we collect
When you browse, register, place an order, fill out a form or subscribe to our newsletter, we may collect your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and payment details.
We also collect technical information automatically — browser type, device, IP address and how you interact with our pages — to keep the site working well. You may always browse our site anonymously, and you may refuse to supply personal information, though this may prevent some activities such as placing an order.
2 · How we use your information
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, respond to customer-service requests, personalise your shopping experience, run promotions or surveys you take part in, and improve our products and site.
If you opt in to our mailing list, we will send you news, offers and wellness content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
3 · Cookies & tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: essential cookies that make the cart and checkout work, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used, and marketing cookies that allow us to show relevant offers on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when they are sent. Some parts of the site may not function properly without essential cookies.
4 · Sharing & service providers
We never sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who need it to serve you: Shopify (which hosts our store), payment processors (we never store your full card details ourselves), courier and delivery partners, and the email and analytics platforms that power our newsletters and site improvements.
Each provider may only use your data to perform its service for us. Aggregated, anonymised statistics may be shared with partners — these can never identify you.
5 · How we protect your data
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
All data exchanged between your browser and our site travels over an SSL-encrypted connection, and payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant processors.
6 · How long we keep it
We keep your order and account information for as long as you have a relationship with us and as long as the law requires us to (for example, for tax and accounting records).
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.
7 · Your rights
Under Sri Lanka's PDPA you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, request erasure, withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@ancientnutra.com — we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
8 · Children's privacy
Our products and site are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe a minor has provided us their information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9 · Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy. By using this site, you signify your acceptance of this policy and our terms of service.
